How to Omit a Section of the Lease?

Question: I need to omit just one section of the standard LeaseRunner lease, 5B. I'm renting to a Section 8 tenant and am told there can be no adjustment for the property tax. How can I do this without creating a whole new lease template etc.?

Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like you need to create a new version of the standard lease, which is done in the Templates library and saved for use when batching documents.

1. Go to the Templates tab and click "duplicate" next to the document you wish to edit.
2. Give the document a name, such as "Lease without property tax adj".
3. Go into the body of the document and delete the section you wish to remove; we will renumber the sections for you.
4. SAVE the document you just edited.

Now, when you go to batch documents pick your edited lease document to include in the batch.
