Question: How do I remove the prorated amount if it is a renewal and no prorated amount is needed?
Answer:
The prorated rent is a field that is calculated based on the Start Date and number of days in the month. To remove it from the lease, you can go about it in multiple ways:
1. If the rent amount is not changing, simply move the Start Date to the 1st of the month and the prorated rent will be "n/a". This is the easiest way.
OR
2. Create a new template and delete the prorated rent field. Go to Templates > State Specific > Duplicate the lease, rename, make the change and save.
OR
3. Leave the prorated rent as is and in Additional Provisions (towards the bottom of the lease) during the Preview, specify that this is a renewal and rent is due in full and prorated rent does not apply.
