- Editing Document Template (black text)
If you need to edit the wording of your document, go to the Templates tab > select the specific document from the list of either the My State-Specific tab or My Universal Templates tab. Click either "Duplicate" or "Edit" buttons > make changes > Save.
Use Duplicate if you need to make changes to a document template provided by LeaseRunner.
Use Edit if you need to make changes to your own saved document.
- Editing Variable Fields (blue text)
If you need to change your Monthly Rent field or Start Date or any other variable data in blue in your document, go to Dashboard >> Lease >> Build button > follow the on screen prompts. Select your document templates, then click Next, Preview Lease Batch> once you are viewing the preview, double click on any blue variable to make a change > Save.
NOTE: Changing the variable value in the document will change the variable value in the database. If this variable is used elsewhere in the same or other documents, it will be changed across all documents in the future for this specific property.
Edit After Sending? Once documents have been sent for e-signatures, they cannot be edited. However, you can always cancel the sent documents from Tenant Details page (any tenant on the lease) > Executed Documents tab > Cancel.
Canceling documents will automatically cancel the signing process.
The e-sign fee is not assessed until after all parties have signed the document batch.
