While Lease Runner does ask the applicant to supply their monthly income on both the free rental application (if ordered by the landlord) and the credit report (if ordered by the landlord), these entries are not verified. They are self reported by the applicant.
Lease Runner has come up with the solution of offering a cash flow report (if ordered by the landlord) to supply the landlord a snap shot of the applicant's cash flow and expenses. The Cash Flow Report may show the applicant's payroll direct deposit from their employer if they have direct deposits set up in the bank account they agree to show you.
Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the landlord to verify income of the applicant as part of their due diligence process.
