Renewing a lease with your tenants means creating a new lease batch to send for e-signing, even if the only details you are changing are the start and end dates for the lease and the monthly rent amount.
We do not have a lease renewal document, so it is up to you to determine which documents you will need to send for your renewal lease signing. Most landlords will send the lease and any supporting addenda, similar to the original lease signing.
There are several ways to renew a lease with an existing tenant.
One way, Go to Properties > Manage Occupants > click on "Set Lease Dates/Renew" button. A box will pop up requiring you to select the tenant who will be staying for another term. Then use the calendar to select the start and end dates of the renewal term dates. Next, "Build Document Batch". Select the name of the tenant(s) so they show as green highlighted in step one of Build Doc Batch. Step 2, select the documents you would like to include, Step 3 preview them and check for accuracy, then Send for e-Signature.
An alternate route would be to change the lease dates while in the Preview Lease Batch phase > change lease dates by clicking on the blue data points in the lease > Then Send for e-Signature.
You can update any other variable fields in blue font like the rent amount, late fees, etc. by clicking on each data point in the Preview.
