States that do not allow instant criminal background checks

Question: I read on your website that you cannot run instant background checks in Massachusetts. Is that true?

Answer: Yes, that is correct. All of the states that do allow for instant criminal records searches are included in a search. Our data provider, CIC reports, carefully follows legislation at the federal, state, and local levels and adjusts their database records accordingly based on what is allowed for instant searches. 

The states that do not allow for instant searches are: Massachusetts, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
