On April 4, 2016, the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued the Guidance on Fair Housing Act Protections for People with Criminal Records. As a result, LeaseRunner will no longer provide arrest records in its Criminal Reports. Conviction records will be provided.
Please familiarize yourself with the guidance provided by HUD to better understand your obligations as a landlord or property manager when using criminal records as part of screening tenants
