Who Pays the $5 ACH Fee?

It is completely your choice whether you will cover the fee or assign it to your tenant to pay the fee.

Changing Who Pays
Go to Properties > Edit Lease Terms > Who Pays ACH Fee

Landlord Pays
It is a good rule of thumb to pay for the fee yourself if you require your tenants to make online rent payments. In this case, we would recommend your lease documents reflect this fee. If you are using our documents, you are covered.

Tenant Pays
If paying rent online is something your tenant asks for, they will be more likely to bear the fee.

When is the $5 charged?
If the landlord pays, we deduct the $5 from your rent amount before sending it to you.
If the tenant pays, LeaseRunner automatically adds the $5 fee to the rent amount and we deduct it before we send the funds to you.
