LeaseRunner uses Instant Account Verification process to retrieve financial data from the applicant's bank. The verification process operates at bank-level security and provides LeaseRunner with read-only data from applicant's bank statement. This system is widely used by companies like PayPal, Scottrade, or Mint.com.
The system uses the applicant's online banking ID and password. It is completely secure. Nobody ever sees the applicant's login information except the applicant and their bank. If the applicant doesn't have online banking, the report can be skipped at no charge.
In addition, LeaseRunner chooses to keep the bank account numbers, expense categories (e.g. restaurants, gas), and vendor names private. A landlord will only see the the cash trends and source of income for the last 90 days.
